For the price, we had a big bedroom, a large bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, a porch with seating and a little kitchen area, our own little garden, and even a rooftop area. Really nice and the bed was big and comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful — they even brought our ordered food straight to our room.
Breakfast was quite good, with some Western and Indonesian options. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice.
Unfortunately, the banana pancake and banana shake we ordered were really disappointing. Unexpectedly, there was cheese on the pancake along with ice cream, which wasn’t mentioned in the description. As Western guests, we definitely don’t eat it that way — we tried, but it was unbearable. So better ask exactly what’s included in your order.
A few things bothered us: the curtains were not blackout, so lights from outside disturbed us all night. But the worst part was the smell coming from the bathroom drain — it really smelled like sewage and made it almost impossible to breathe in there. We also had a few little visitors (centipedes), but that didn’t bother us much.
Overall, it could have been a really nice stay — especially if the bathroom didn’t smell so bad and if there were proper blackout curtains.
On the plus side, it was great to have a free shuttle at certain times of the day and free entry to Pandawa Beach and Timbis Beach. Otherwise you could have rented a scooter there (starting from 70.000 IDR).
