Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as keeping you signed in or remembering your currency. Some are essential to make the site work; others are optional and help us understand how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage, and refer to all of them as “cookies” here.

We group the cookies we use into three categories:

• Strictly necessary: required for the site to function, for example to keep you signed in to your account and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on and cannot be switched off.
• Functional: remember preferences you set, such as your display currency. These improve your experience, and we do not use them to track you.
• Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These run only with your consent.

When you first visit Lodge, you will see a banner asking whether you accept analytics cookies. How it behaves depends on where you are:

• In regions with prior-consent laws (such as the UK, EU/EEA, Switzerland, and Brazil), we set no analytics cookies and collect no analytics data until you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Reject”, analytics stays off.
• In other regions, analytics may run by default, and you can switch it off at any time by choosing “Reject”.

Your choice does not affect strictly necessary and functional cookies, because they do not require consent. You can change your decision at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

The table below lists the cookies Lodge sets. Durations are approximate and may vary.

When you pay, our payment processor, Stripe, hosts checkout on its own pages. Stripe sets its own cookies to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud, and Stripe’s own cookie and privacy notices cover those.

Our analytics cookies are set by PostHog, which processes data on our behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. Some pages also load maps or review snippets from Google, which may set cookies when those features appear. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
