Guest Agreement

This Guest Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between:

• Lodge, a service that connects travelers with homestay accommodations,
• and the Guest, the individual booking and staying at the listed property.

1. Purpose

This Agreement outlines the terms under which the Guest uses a homestay property listed through the Platform. The Platform does not manage, operate, or maintain any of the properties and acts solely as a connection service between guests and hosts.

2. Guest Responsibilities

The Guest agrees to:

• Treat the property, host, and neighbors with respect
• Follow all house rules provided by the host (e.g., check-in/out time, quiet hours, smoking, pet policies)
• Avoid any illegal or disruptive activities on the property
• Be responsible for the conduct of all individuals staying with them under the same booking

3. Liability for Damages

• The Guest is fully liable for any damage, theft, or loss caused to the property or its contents during their stay.
• In the event of damage, the Guest authorizes the Platform to charge the cost of repairs or replacements to the payment method used at the time of booking.
• The Host will provide documentation (photos, receipts, estimates) for any damage claims.

4. Platform Disclaimer

• The Platform is not responsible for the quality, condition, safety, or legal compliance of any property listed.
• All disputes related to the property, its condition, or the stay experience must be addressed directly with the Host.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Host's cancellation policy as listed on the property's page at the time of booking.
• The Platform may charge a processing fee for cancellations if applicable.

6. Termination of Stay

The Host or Platform reserves the right to terminate the Guest's stay without refund if the Guest violates this agreement, damages property, or behaves unlawfully.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this agreement will be subject to those laws.

8. Acknowledgment

By confirming the booking, the Guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
