These Terms of Service govern your use of Lodge, whether you browse, book, or list. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to them; if you do not agree, do not use it. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy, and Lodge Payments Terms.
Lodge is a marketplace that connects you with independent hosts of homestays and guesthouses. Lodge is operated by Lodge Vacations Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales, London, together with its affiliated Indonesian operating entity, CV Lodge Bali. We are not the owner, operator, manager, or insurer of any property listed, unless we say otherwise. Hosts run their own listings, and they are responsible for the accuracy of what they publish and for providing the stay you book.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to use the platform. When you register or book, you agree that the information you give us is accurate and complete, and you are responsible for keeping your account details secure.
When a booking is confirmed, a contract forms between you and the host. Lodge facilitates the booking and handles the payment as an intermediary; the stay itself is between you and the host. You agree to follow the rules and policies set for the listing you book.
You pay all booking charges at checkout. Those charges can include the accommodation price, the Lodge service fee, and any applicable taxes or government charges. We may hold funds before releasing payment to a host, in line with our payment process. For how this works in detail, see our Lodge Payments Terms.
As a guest, you agree to:
You are financially responsible for damage caused by you or anyone you bring to the property.
As a host, you agree to:
Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. Those pages explain the notice windows for each stay length and how the service fee is treated.
When you use Lodge, you must not:
Community Pass benefits apply only during an eligible, active booking. We may change, pause, or end Community Pass benefits at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk, or shows signs of fraud.
Hosts are independent, and they provide their own listings. We may verify some information, but we do not guarantee the quality of a property, its internet speed, the availability of any amenity, or that a stay suits a particular purpose. Check that a property meets your needs before you book.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lodge is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you will not exceed the greater of (a) the total service fees you paid to, or that Lodge earned through, your bookings in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100, or its equivalent, as set out in more detail in our Guest Agreement and Host Agreement.
The law that governs your relationship with Lodge, and how disputes are resolved, is set out in the agreement that applies to you. For guests, our Guest Agreement governs, under the laws of England and Wales, with disputes resolved by arbitration under the Rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) in London. For hosts, our Host Agreement governs, under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, with disputes resolved by arbitration administered by the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI) in Denpasar. Both agreements apply except where consumer-protection law that applies to you requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If you keep using Lodge after we update them, you accept the updated Terms.
