Super happy with my stay at Cozy Guesthouse Canggu. The whole team is the sweetest, the best service, my room gets cleaned everyday and they even change your towels almost daily. Location is very central and you can walk to nearby restaurants, the nightshops and other shops.
Staying here for two months now and probably gonna extend for another month until I go to another place in Bali.
We stayed here as Canggu Apartments failed us. We were lucky enough to get the family suite for our little family. The two bedroom unit was perfect for our needs and great value for money. The complex is new and is a true family business. The owners were amazing, so accommodating and loved time with our little one. They helped out at every opportunity.
Stayed here for 1 month. Staff is excellent and friendly . It’s a new building so the rooms are very clean , the wifi is great which is hard to get in Bali . Recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay and wants to be close to the beach.
I really loved the place for its friendly staff, for its cleanliness and its fast wifi. The location is very good too and its quiet.
I was one of the first to move in and the lady (owner) increased prices 3 times just days before i had to renew.
Once i had an Indonesian girlfriend things changed more drastically. The lady (owner) just did not like her from the beginning for no obvious reason.
We wanted to change rooms to a bigger one and were promised a date and the new price. We agreed. BUT that never happened and she said she does not remember she had given that price and the room is not available anymore because it will be renovated?!?!?
There was a lot of promises and she seemed to have many "bad" days without greeting or saying hi especially when my gf was present.
To cut the story short, once my gf invited 2 of her friends to hang out at the pool. No music, just chill. The Owner lady quickly jumped on them with such a rude town that they are not welcome since they do not pay rent, which she repeated many times.
While that is true, I have been staying here more than 6 months and there is no reason to why she would be so mean. The girls were shocked and called me. She told me if you do not like it just leave and do not extend. After i came back from Tokyo I tried to talk... it all seemed ok. But the second owner, the lady's brother, said maybe it would be nice if my gf would also talk with them. So i asked her to talk to them and figure things out.
10 MIN LATER and my gf comes up and says she wants us to move out in 2 hours.
Honestly, without going too much into detail here, she is rude and inconsiderate.
She seems to only care about making money and increasing prices.
She lied multiple times about the new room and date and price.
AND she seems to very annoyed if any local indonesian come to her guesthouse that are not working for her. I do not wanna say the R word but to me I have no other explanation.
The brother / co-owner is such a nice guy and i had multiple nice conversations with him, but it feels he just gives in to everything she says.
We are happy to not have to deal with her anymore, still sad though that people can act that nasty on their own people.
The worse experience on Bali. Made a deposit one month before stay. And three days before check-in the owner said its busy, another person live there (“miscommunication” how he said). Also a lot of noise because not far from the road
