The garden is cool, clean and beautiful, but the pool is actually more for the dogs, small, can't swim.
Kitchen is clean and you can cook can buy nespresso capsule and beers, free water refill also which is great. No restaurant on site, closest one around 5mn walk (good food)
Pool table in good shape, helpful owners if you need anything including transportation around the area.
Downside for us was the mattress that was not comfortable, had back pain after the first night, the rest was good!
A special place in Medewi, the owners make you feel at home. If you’re traveling solo you’ll never be alone as the dogs there are always a pleasure to be around. I’ve stayed here twice now, once for 3 months and the second trip only a quick week. It’s located close enough to everything you need and faraway that you have a lot of peace and quiet. The rooms are great, spacious, clean and comfortable. The WiFi is reliable and fast for working online. They also offer scooter rentals and there is a commons area with a kitchen, pool table and drinks if you don’t feel like going out. Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks for the great stays.
I highly recommend this place! It’s lovely and clean, located in a great area with several restaurants nearby. The beach is just a 7-minute bike ride away, and most importantly, it’s run by an amazing host with two wonderful dogs!
A few things you need to be ready for: First, the sound of mosques in the morning, so bring earplugs! If you are staying in the little house as we did, be aware that there are no curtains, so the rising sun will be in your face (we covered the window with a towel). Finally, the communal kitchen is a bit dirty—it’s fine for cutting fruit, but not suitable for making dinner.
This was heaven for us. After travelling though Indonesia (Sumatra-Java-Bali) we arrived here and it was really amazing.
We were greeted by the host and also their 2 lovely dogs they have and were made very welcome. Our room was just amazing and felt like home.
She responded fast to questions or problems and there’s food nearby that’s very tasty.
I will say it’s out of the way slightly if you’re walking so renting a bike is reccomended and they also don’t have hailing apps like grab or gojek so get homestay to provide you with pickup in Medewi :)
Side note: you will need earplugs and a face mask as mosques are loud early in the morning and sun can be very very bright
I stayed in a lot of place here in Medewi. This one is my favorite. Beautiful garden with pool to relax. Nice and clean rooms.
Real big shared kitchen with absolutely all you need for cooking or put your own food in fridge.
Pool table, secured parking, calm... What else ? :)
